MA33E - NONFERROUS CASTINGS 1992 Contact person: Don Burgess (301) 763-7492 SUMMARY OF FINDINGS During 1992, the total shipments of nonferrous castings were 2,879 million pounds. This represented a 4 percent increase over the 1991 total shipments of 2,760 million pounds. Shipments of aluminum castings in 1992 totaled 2,023 million pounds, showing a 6 percent increase over the 1991 total of 1,909 million pounds. Shipments of copper castings totaled 400 million pounds in 1992, a 2 percent decrease from the 1991 total of 408 million pounds. Shipments of zinc castings slightly increased during 1992 to 381 million pounds, as compared with the 1991 total of 380 million pounds. Table 1.
