M37L-TRUCK TRAILERS SUMMARY 1993 Contact person: Carol Beasley, 301-763-5353 or Lynn Sizemore, 301-763-5547 SUMMARY OF FINDINGS The value of factory shipments of complete truck trailers was 3092.1 million in 1993, an increase of 12 percent from shipments of 2756.0 million in 1992. Quantity of complete truck trailer shipments for 1993 was 185,741 units an increase of 12 percent from shipments of 165,268 units in 1992. Complete trailer vans shipped in 1993 increased 11 percent in quantity and 13 percent in value from the 1992 levels. The quantity of tank-type trailers shipped in 1993 increased 3 percent and their value increased 6 percent from the 1992 level. Shipments of platform trailers in 1993 increased 20 percent in units and 22 percent in value from the 1992 levels. Table 1.
