A wooden hat form in five pieces. Inscribed on the wooden sculpture is Gail's Amnesty International case history of a family whose patriarch has gone missing. She says " I wrote the case history as I received it, transcribing it throughout the wooden forms in such a way that no matter how it is assembled, there is no way to know all of the 'truth'. Hence 'Partial Truths'." The artist invites people to touch and rearrange the work. She has requested that it not be repaired, or refinished during its lifetime in our collection.
