Abstract
This mansucript describes the New Community Babysitting Cooperative is an affordable childcare network created by the program participants at Families in Transition Transitional Housing Program in Manchester, New Hampshire (US). The purpose of this cooperative is to allow these single parents, who are recovering from homelessness and the devastating effects thereof, the ability to secure employment, job training, and/or education by providing an affordable means of childcare, which is often a large financial obstacle to these goals.
